Once
on the edge of the Western frontier, New Mexico now offers big-city
accommodations while still holding tight to its unique mix of
cultures and heritage.
Both
Albuquerque and Santa Fe are emerging as top business and tourist
destinations, as they are complete with abundant hotel and conference
space and many historical and cultural attractions. Whether
you travel to New Mexico on business or pleasure, you'll love
the amazing scenery -- the state has Rocky Mountain ranges in
the north, desert in the south, portions of the Great Plains
to the east, spectacular canyons to the west and the Rio Grande,
which runs right through the center of the state.
Make
sure to sample the tasty, usually spicy cuisine while visiting
New Mexico. Although it's mistakenly referred to as "Mexican
food" or "Tex-Mex," the Southwestern dishes are
actually the result of the blending of Indian and Hispanic cultures.
Enjoy...and watch out for those extra-spicy chile peppers!
